Are your installers qualified?
Answer: Yes, our glaziers are fully trained in handling and installation of glass and hold the relevant CSCS safety qualifications.

Why should I opt for glass balustrades?
Answer: Glass balustrades are resourceful enough to enhance almost all properties, whether they are commercial or residential, modern or traditional. As space and light is often in demand within a property, glass enables the client to retain this, without compromising on safety. Glass is an ageless product which possess a certain elegance. It can be used as a design feature or for safety purposes both internally or externally.

What glass thickness do you use?
Answer: In most cases we will use 12mm or 15mm toughened glass, polished all round, depending on the dimensions, location, purpose and fixings. We can also use toughened and laminated glass where required.

What balustrade systems can I have?
Answer: There are various options available depending on a number of factors. The most common are having the Glass fitted into a mild steel channel within the floor to create a concealed ‘floating’ affect. This is set using a structural Arbocol mix. Alternatively a less evasive option is to fix the glass using D shaped flat clamps which can be fixed into newel posts and/or walls. Another option is to fix the Glass using stand- off fixing bolts. Do I have to opt for Ordinary Clear Glass?
Answer: No, there are a number of alternatives to clear ‘float’ glass. You can choose to implement a Low Iron Glass otherwise known as ‘Crystal Clear’ or ‘Optiwhite’ which contains significantly less iron levels than float glass, meaning that the glass will not have the greenish tint of float and will appear even clearer. Alternatively you could opt for a glass such as ‘tinted Grey’ or ‘tinted Bronze’ to stand out from the crowd! Sandblasting your glass will provide a milky/frosted effect and will provide some privacy without being fully opaque.

Can I have obscured glass?
Answer: Yes, you can have a toughened glass which is then sandblasted on one side to create a semi – opaque ‘frosted’ effect. This then has a Ritec coating applied to help maintain the finish and aid with cleaning.
